[GCAO] Orbit & Attitude Control [GDNO] Orbital Dynamics [GPRO] Materials and Propulsion [GTER]Thermal Control

Welcome to Web Site of
INPE/DMC

DMC started at 1980 to support an old space project, named MECB. The goal is, even today, provide resources about:
  • Attitude and Orbit Control sub systems
  • Orbital Dynamics Modeling
  • Thermal Control and Analysis
  • Materials and Satellite Propulsion Sub-Systems
At MECB project time DMC also supported Mission Analysis and Mechanical Projects with more than 60 direct collaborators.

GCAO and GDNO teams of DMC developed and implemented software for attitude control, attitude determination and estimation, orbit determination and estimation, Station crossing and tracking, attitude pointing maneuvers for MECB satellites. All those applications are running at INPE Satellite Control Center..

GPRO team keeps the software development for satellite propulsion subs-systems, supplying and supporting space projects of INPE and IEAv/CTA.

GTER team supports and supply Brazilian satellites about operational thermal restrictions and analysis for satellites made by INPE in the past and in current projects, such as CBERS (Remote Sensing Brazilian-Chinese Satellite).

Today, DMC has 25 direct collaborators, keep the same goals and supports, under request, INPE satellite projects, such as CBERS satellite family, following the AMAZONIA satellite specification, helping the development of LATTES satellite project, and other activities according to its competence areas.

Located at Satélite building, INPE headquarter, at São José dos Campos - SP, DMC provides Postgraduating Courses at Master and Doctoral levels of Space Science/Orbital Mechanics area. These courses had continuously evaluated by Brazilian Academic Foundations, such as FAPESP, CAPES, CNPq, and had reaches the high level score. Beyond these, DMC also provides extra-curricular courses for Brazilian industries at LABSIM/SCAOs laboratory.

DMC is proud of its collaborators and thanks everyone who makes it to survive.
